The Wonderware Industry Application for Facilities Management provides an open and standardized Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) system for facilities management solutions, able to collect and process building automation information from large distributed campuses or multiple buildings under central supervision.

This new application not only integrates mechanical systems, security / personnel access, fire / life safety, lighting, energy / utility, maintenance and other facility components, but also helps facility managers capture domain knowledge into standard application objects for reuse, support, maintenance and deployment across the enterprise.

Components available in The Wonderware Industry Application for Facilities Management include a library of templates with graphic components designed specifically for facilities management with animation and standard faceplates, a set of device integration and application objects, as well as Data Acquisition Servers (DAS) for native BACnet® and i.LON® SmartServer solutions. Optionally, an Application Generator Tool for BACnet systems is provided to accelerate, simplify and help standardize integration with these building and facility systems.

To facilitate integration with various systems, the base facilities platform supports standard protocols including OPC, MODBUS, SNMP, XML, ODBC as well as others for total facilities integration needs.
